Don't mean to offend anyone. I'm just can't believe I'm doing this now in my life.... so cool! Been dreaming about it for 10 years.

I turn 30 in 3 weeks!

6t8stang 02-22-2010 07:26 PM

No offense at all!

You have me beat though...I bought mine when I was 33 - I have a birthday coming up in 3 weeks as well!

Rwillia4 02-22-2010 08:28 PM

I'm in my 30's also (but not for much longer!). purchased at 36, 4 months before our first child...wife is still not happy about that.

Our youngest customer to date was 22 and he did purchase it under his own power. I think he had to sell it to buy a house though. As for our oldest customer I don't know for certain but I believe about 78 or so.

I am glad the silver car will be able to join in our group drives. And my GFs family is from Newport so I'm sure we will bump into each other again.

I've got to find another car for AC now.

The cobra or the child?

So, based on some of the comments, I might be the youngest guy in this Northeast Group. Well, my wife said I had to do it before the baby got to school age, otherwise I would be an old fart before I did it!

Anyone wondering, I got Rick's silver car. Beautiful!

way to go

That's just about the same situation as us. I got mine a month or so before my 35th birthday. My girls are 6 & 2, so we figured enjoy it now, or wait until the girls are out of school, and who knows what will be going on then. We figured that we can always sell it, but for now we are enjoying the hell out of it! So are the girls!

SD5805 02-25-2010 12:31 AM

Those would the little children's. That r a delight at time and others a thorn in the side

Same here, I purchased my FIRST one two weeks after my first child was born. Funny story, it was back when orange county chopper, and all the build shows first hit the air. My wife said why dont you do something like that and build a car, with the new baby you dont need to go out in the boat 8 hours every saturday, i would rather have you in the garage. Sooo I investigated "kit" cars and found they were difficult to insure, other builds I looked at were crap, then Bingo BDR factory assemlbed, so I bought. Since I did not have to build I still went out in the boat, LOL and trust me all the bugs I had to chase (early build) I kept plenty busy!!!

Save up and get a better car, -- getting a cheap car is wrought with problems.
