Default Side Pipe Covers

Luckily in my driveway, I noticed that the forward lower bolt and the rear upper bolt broke away from the straps that hold on the side exhaust covers. Truly amazing as in the early spring, while driving at night on the parkway, I actually lost the passenger side cover without knowing it. According to the guy behind me that pulled me over, the cover shot off the car and flew into the woods. Fortunately it didn’t fly back into his or another vehicle or into my car.

Obviously, the welding of these studs to the straps is not the best. Anyone else have this problem? If not, I suggest keeping an eye on them or even add a tack weld to each bolt as they meet the strap as a safety factor…….

I took mine off after about the first 2 weeks I owned the car. Now I have another reason for not having them on the car.

The first reason was I didn't like the look with them on.

I have 25K on my car and no one has gotten a burn.

If you cant get in and out without burning your leg, don't drive it. Have had mine for 10 tears, no problems. Now that I said that, I will get a burn today.
