Default SUPERCHARGED Ford Coyote 5.0

Hello!

Does anybody know when we can expect to see a SUPERCHARGED Ford Coyote 5.0 installed in a RT3 from BDR and what performance can we expect from the engine - kw, Nm?

I would really appreciate if somebody could say (approx.) how much this modification is expected to cost?

Thanks for all the answers in advance..

Regards
V

$7000 for supercharger installed with labor, 150 plus hp, but the torque will be the tell all, seeing mod motors are torqless wonders without it, plus you wont need to rev to 5000 rpm like a naturally aspirated coyote to make power.

on VMS website there is an option for the engine without a price - it states the following : Ford Racing Supercharged 5.0 Coyote - 625HP - Tremec T56 Magnum

Could it be that they already done some mods and tests however still not ready to offer it?!

There are 2 BDRs completed with Roushcharged Coyotes as I type. We are in build now of a third. I'll post some more details when I can. Performance from a SOP standpoint is similar to a Roush 427R.

We have not released pricing on our site yet because some prototyping remains on a few different setups we will offer. We are also attempting to get warranty coverage from Ford Racing on boosted engines (which is not easy).

Tnx for the answer!

I hope to see a video soon, I am interested to hear at least the engine sound if I am not able to drive it

I dont like all the extra plumbing involved with supercharging on a cobra, these days you have to run an intercooler and it gets bulky in our little cars, just put a big FE in it.

You can buy the Roush superchargers for around 5 grand. you will have to run an aftercooler and a coolant pump for the intercooler though. Install is simple and if you can build one of these cars, you should be able to install the supercharger in just a few hours.

So between the engine, the stuff you gotta have to run the engine, the blower, and the modifications to the car to get everything to fit, what's the final bill just to use this engine?

Roushcharged 5.0 with T-56 Magnum is well under $30k. Like I said, we have a new one in build and that's going to be our model for pricing. The labor is the expensive part of the install since it takes approx. 10 days with all the wiring, plumbing, etc. A typical Roush 427R install is 2 days plus a day of adjustments/alignment.

For reference the list price on the crate engine from Roush (which includes the control pack, intercooler, fuel pump, everything to make it run) is just north of $16k.

Fordracing65 will disagree with me, but here's a little proof that you probably don't "need" the SC.

PS: if you are going to insist on SC it, then perhaps opt for a TR6060 box...
Blynkins, Jay - any thoughts on these boxes?

TR6060 is just a T-56 Magnum for late model swaps. I think it would just create fitment headaches etc. with shifter.
