Default Hazard Lights Not Working

Hi all! I'm new to the forum as I have recently taken ownership of BDR#1044. So far the car has been great, however, I did notice that the hazard lights are not working. When I engage the hazard lights by pulling the knob, both the hazard lights and the dash indicator light do not turn on. I did the following:

Checked to make sure lights work when headlights are turned on
Checked turned signals - they work
Checked brake lights - they work
Checked fuses - all fuses are good.

I wanted to see if anyone else has had this issue or if it's likely that the hazard light switch would have failed already.

Any thoughts or debugging tips would be greatly appreciated!

The wiring on the hazard is a bit more complicated than one would expect. I believe you may have an issue with your relay (black square plastic usually with 4 wires).

Someone else may be able to tell you how to check it.

Thanks for heads up, Clois. I went ahead and replaced the hazard light flasher and that didn't seem to solve the issue either. I looked again at the fuse box to see if I could find a relay for the hazard lights but there isn't one labeled for the hazard lights. I am not sure if it's named something else on the fuse box diagram. I'm kinda stumped for now....

Don''t pay a lot of attention to the box lid of the fuse box. I found they are not correctly marked. Test each one with a test light or volt meter.

Thanks Jimbo01, after checking all the fuses, it turned out to be a busted fuse. Foolishly I figured the fuse box lid would be correctly labeled. Lesson learned. Huge thanks for the heads up.
