Default Radiator Protection

What is everyone using to protect their radiator fins? Any type of mesh or screen? I recently got the upgraded radiator and already have a few bent fins. Thanks

This is what I use, and am very happy with:
Honeycomb Radiator Protector, 19 x 26 Inch
Different sizes available and easy to trim and put in place. I had seen a car with a metal screen like this:
Radiator/Grille Shaker Screen, 31 x 19
mounted in a metal frame and attached to the car with springs so that the screen would 'give' if something large hit it, like tire debris or God knows what off of our roads. I use the mesh and have had no problems.

I used some simple 1/4" SS mesh. I ran a piece of aluminum plywood edging down the center to keep the mesh off of the core. Then glued it to the sides with silicone. After all these years of track and street use, still in good condition.

For the fins that are already bent, use a radiator comb.

I bought a piece of stainless mesh and used 1/4" tube to make a frame.

Worked for 40,000 miles

Thanks for all the input. Radiator comb ordered. I also ordered the stainless steel mesh from Pegasus. Should make for a fun project this weekend. I never considered building a frame for the mesh to keep it off the radiator but that makes all the sense in the world. Great advice.

Yeah, whatever you use, you have to keep it off the core. if you just lay it on the core, it won't do much good.
