Default Installng Reline In BDR AutoMeter Tach

Has anyone ever removed and disassembled a BDR AutoMeter Tach to install a redline indicator. I got a thin piece of redtape on my tach glass at my redine RPM but would rather put it on the face inside. Not sure how simple or even possible it is to remove the glass to access the tach's face.

Anyone ever done this or attempted it?

I've pulled apart faulty Autometer gauges.

I would look at another gauge.

The front rims are crimped on by a machine and you'll never be able to fold the aluminium back like the factory does.

I went with Speed Hut and it works really great. A bit of patience and ability to follow instructions during shift light set up and away you go. It helps to be able to stand on your head a while too. Their web site gives you a "shopping cart of face options" too.
