No offense to anyone else, but Cashburn deals with a ton of Cobra's. I am going to side with him on this one, despite what the other members say. I mean, I respect the fact that what they post has worked for them...but that is one car. Cashburn has lots of cars going thru his shop...his opinion, to me, packs more weight.

You can feel that way if you want...
This is simple. It is gear oil, period. Brand is not material as long as it is a proper spec oil. These are BMW's , not Cobra's...street cars. It takes YEARS to see the results of any faulty lubricant...and you won't, don't sweat it.
The actual difference in viscosity from 90 wt to 140 wt is miniscule for your purposes.
Don't over complicate a simple thing!

It takes years to see the results.... case in point, it took BMW 10 years to change the spec on LSDs to 75w140. Prior to that they were recommending 75w90 in everything.
