Default GPS sensor

Anyone wired up a VDO GPS sensor to their VDO speedometer? I have contacted VDO tech twice, but there seems to be a disconnect in commo. I know it is supposed to be rather straight forward, but with out an adequate wiring diagram from BDR, I am having a fit in sorting out the wires. The VDO sensor has four wires, ground, hot, white ground (also) and green to the speedo. The two wires from the speedo sending unit are white and the the other is yellow /brown.. I have tried wiring the VDO to 12 v direct and 12 v through the ignition. still no results. I have hooked the green VDO wire to the white speed wire, no results, then to the yellow brown speedo wire. Bottom line not working. Any hints or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Can I ask why you are going to a GPS sender? Just want to understand the approach.

Sure the stock sensor keeps crapping out due to the BDR connection at the diff. So I figured that a GPS would be more accurate and more dependable.
