Default Love my Vintage BDR (and this forum)

When I first got my car I was a little under informed about all the little tweaks and care these beast require. I am really strong in technology but have never been a mechanic or motor head of any sort.

When my first little glitches started to occur I was intimidated say the least to work on my ride.

Following the guidance of Jay and this forum, making my own posts and following in the paths of others, I have found a true pleasure if fixing the little stuff.

For those who might be on the edge with the same concerns I had, I say JUMP!! The journey is so much fun and rewarding.

I love my BDR... and all the input found here.

Just wanted to start everyone's weekend on a positive note!!

Have a great weekend and enjoy the ride!

It is great that you are feeling more comfortable with your Cobra now. I think a lot of people who are new to them start out as you did. And they do require a lot of maintenance, especially if you race them or drive them hard. But they are a great deal of fun and enjoyment and you will meet a lot of interesting people with the car. So congratulations on your advancing into the world of motor heads.

Hey they are all used old cars . They will never be completely done !! Always something to do on them !! BUT it's all worth it as your driving the car !!

Well, they are newer used cars! So they are not as complicated as a late model, but they are not 50 years old either. Which means the wiring is not crispy, the suspension rubber is not all rotted away, it runs good on unleaded gas, most of the time it has an overdrive transmission....the list goes on and on. Perfect car for the guy that wants a "classic" but does not want to HAVE to spend every weekend under the hood. As a guy that has owned classics since they were just used cars, this Backdraft Cobra is perfect for me.
