Default Short Shifter

Has anyone installed the short shift lever from Backdraft parts. Is that an easy home install installation? Thank you.

I did the Hurst shifter and took 15 minutes. It installs the same way as this shorty. No need to get under the car, all done from the driver's seat. Use Blue Loctite on the nuts.

Default Jordan shifter

Bill, take a look at the Jordan shifter used on a lot of a lot of Superformance cars. I used it on my car and love it. I used a round ball from Summit for the shift ball. Get the one with 1/2" threads as it the most common. The flat shifter will destroy the boot in time as it does not fit correctly. The boot is made for a round shift lever.

Jim is correct. I did also replace my shifter boot with a leather one to hide the torn rubber boot.

I purchased the standard shifter from Jordan. A little pricey but excellant quality. I do not like the shift knob they sell though. Just google Jordan shifter and you will find it.

Default Jordan Shifter

Just saw one for sale on the PARTS FOR SALE section. Wants $200.00 for all these parts including a Jordan shifter. Might get the shifter for a good price.

Default Shifter

You will need to change the boot as the shifter will destroy the boot in time.

I have had 3 different shifters on my car, I prefer the short one, very simple install.
