Default 2 questions for the newb owner

First one is easy: what are the 2 red indicator lights on either side of the 3 gauges? I think the right one is brake fluid? I know the others... just not sure what these 2 are.

Second: when letting off the gas quickly at 2500 r's or more, I feel a clunk directly under the drivers seat. Gonna put the car on the lift tonight and check out the driveshaft and ujoints but, wanted to check here and see if anyone had other suggestions on what to check.

thanks!

The red light on the left is your ignition light
The red light on the right is your brake fluid level

Have the car up on the lift now and not finding any play in tranny mount or engine mounts. When turning the drive shaft by hand however, it has a good 1/8 inch to 1/4 inch of play when turning back and forth. I assume this is normal.

Any other thoughts on what the clunk could be from?

Is the clunk felt only when moving or also when sitting idle and RPMs change?

Yep, only when moving and engine is at higher rpm’s, then letting off the gas quickly. When the engine breaking hits and weight shifts forward is when it happens. If I let off the gas easy, it doesn’t happen.

It doesn’t happen at all when goosing the throttle and sitting still.

Check the rear differential, the 14 MM bolt is known to snap under high torque situations.

Which bolt is this on the rear?
Why wouldn’t they beef this up at the factory if it’s known to break? I’m only running 480hp and have 550 miles on the car... if that broke it, I can’t imagine what the Roush and 500+ Hp guys are going through.

I would definitely check the rear diff. Mine is one of the ones that broke. Replaced with a grade 8 and been fine ever since. They did upgrade but maybe yours sneaked through somehow. Also both shafts to the rear wheels should be checked and one other thing is the brake calipers. Had a bolt fall out of one those to and that was causing a clunk (among other things)

Just to confirm, it's the bolt circled here?
I took this pic yesterday while it was on the lift...I'll have to check it tonight to see if this is loose/broken

Just tried turning the bolt and it's in there super tight, not budging. The car is on the ground with full weight on the tires... if it was loose/broken in there, would I need to take the weight off the tires and free up the rear suspension to turn it?

Check out the 2 pics below, looks like a sloppy blue mark on the bolt so I'm not sure if the bolt turned since the original install?

The picture shows the bolt as been moved from factory mark, either tightened or serviced at some time.

The pictures make your bushing look torn? Is it? If so that may be the issue the play in the bushing, take a pry bar and move housing up and down does it move?

I bought a green lens to replace my red ignition lamp. Red always makes me think bad things are happening...thought I would get used to it, didn't, so the replacement was a cheap fix.

I thought the ignition light only comes on when the battery is discharging... and that's something you would want red....
Are you saying the ignition light coming on is a good thing so you want it green?

The way mine is wired, the light comes on when the start circuit is activated. Yeah, stupid I know. So it is on when the car is. Since I am about 3/4 lazy I didn't rewire it, I just put in a green lens.

I have a voltmeter in the dash, so I trust that more than a light anyway.
