Good grief.

"Hey, I don't assume anything, a wrong assumption on your part."

Yet... within this VERY thread you make several assumptions. The OP never stated what his intended use was... so you made an "assumption" when you said...

"Most guys here don't try to race their cars, change springs, etc. so KISS...That's all the guy asked."

Uh... no... that's not what he asked. He asked...

"Who can tell me what shocks are the best option as an replacement part!"

You "assumed" the OP "asked for some simple advice."

In addition... you made several "assumptions" when you said the following...

"I see...so you don't know what you are talking about...just talking." and...

"It great to hear a guy talk about his own alleged knowledge and expertise!"

You do understand the meaning of the word, correct? I'm not so sure... let me help you. This example is taken from the Merriam-Webster dictionary... #3 best addresses your attempted use of the word...

3 a : an assuming that something is true
• a mistaken assumption
b : a fact or statement taken for granted

Then... when the guy you've been unabashedly hassling on this thread attempts to provide you and everyone else on this thread with a little insight... you're quick to follow with...

"Your beloved "Tune To Win" was written over 40 years ago".

Proving he was correct when he stated you would try to belittle the answer... and that's exactly what you attempted to do. Then... you make the comment that he "implied I was a bit dated in my technology thinking but he loves to throw this old book title around that he believes in...". I don't see where he implied your thinking was dated. Dated? No. But simplistic... yes.

Are you 12 years old? Why didn't you just follow that up with "Nanny, nanny, boo boo?" You're no better than a child that continually asks "What?"

You've thrown enough shade. Personally... I agree with him... it's time for YOU to share YOUR experience level and background so that others can make a value judgment based upon YOUR comments. If I don't see you offer anything up... then the question answers itself.

Maybe it hasn't occurred to you... but these threads have a life long after the last comment has been entered. They become a searchable resource for those of us looking for insight and answers. Sometimes... that's as simple as pointing someone in the right direction... and I would have been content with his reply to read the book... and I'd have gotten my hands on a copy and done just that... if I wanted to know more about the topic and make an educated decision.

One thing is certain... anytime someone in the future does a search on shocks... and this thread pops up... in addition to getting both simple... and detailed information (even if it's in the form of "what book to read")... they'll also get a firsthand account of what an insufferable a** you've been throughout it.

Maybe you should have jumped on the OP for not being more specific regarding his needs.

Either way... you're the very definition of an Internet troll. If you need help figuring out what that is... here's another link for you: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_troll

In the meantime... give it up. Your efforts at trying to have the last word on the topic have now literally made you and your comments a laughing stock on this thread... a joke that people will be reading about for a LONG time.
