Default Electric vacuum pump?

Has anyone installed an electric vacuum pump in their BDR? I've got a vacuum reservoir but since my engine, at best, makes only 11 in of vacuum, my brakes are a bit limp.

If you have, what brand, and where did you locate it? The only dimensions I can get from Master Power Brakes or Leed is the size of the package in which the pump is packaged, which seems kinda large.

I found on my BDR (early car like yours) the Brake booster check valve was actualy just an elbow someone had installed. So all the vacuum built up during driving disappeared every time the engine went back to idle.
The check valve once installed (in theory) gives you 2-3 brake applications before being fully bled off. Dorman PN 80190
