RT3 fuel pump options

Dropping the plastic fuel tank and I inadvertently snapped one of the plastic fuel line spigots off the original submersible plastic fuel pump (a VW) pump.I have had a good go with 'rapid fix ' and started the car with no evident leaks. However I'm not 100% happy with gluing a fuel fitting, my car has a 289 fuel injection hotrod modular crate engine. Although the original pump is easily available, not sure if I want to go plastic again. I'm hoping someone here has had the experience of doing a replacement pump, any ideas much appreciated.
