Default Paint quality

I am just curious about how all of you Backdraft owners rate the factory paint job on your car? Please rate it 1-5, 5 being the best. If you rate less than a 5 let me know why.

I rate mine a 4. There are some areas around the lower front fender flairs that were not buffed out well or had a poor paint job and I have a few pin spots/dots on various areas of the body.
Over all it is a good job but it is not a "show quality" custom paint job.
And yes guys, I'm a waxer not a racer so maby I'm a little/lot picky

I'd rate mine a 4.5 until I got run off the road and went through a barbed-wire fence yesterday.

Now it's a minus 2.

The only flaws I found at delivery were very tiny nicks, 4-5, at various places on the body. These could have been from being shipped halfway around the world, we'll never know, now.

I'd rate mine a 4.5.

I found two minor flaws (so far). Overall, I'd say "very good" but not "perfect". Since I'm not much of a waxer, it's more than good enough for me.

I would rate mine at a 4 to maybe 4.5, it had a few nicks on it when it was delivered. Although I was told that mine had one of the better paint jobs from the factory so far, the painter seemed to had done p-ss pour job and had to repaint it over, then soon after that the painter was replaced. Overall it is pretty nice, but I can be fairly picky.

There are some opportunities on my paint. Hate to rate it yet. Kind of surprised they were not caught during final prep and repaired before shipped. Once my install is complete I will get it fixed. Reg is aware……..I’ll let you know how it goes.

Thanks guys for your replies!

uncltodd,

I am sorry to hear about your off roading incident. I hope the paint is not too damaged! Complete repaints are pretty expensive!

No comment on the paint quality on # 70. Let's just say next time I'll order "primer only"

I agree I wouldn't want to rate my first backdraft, but my second is a 4.5. I really like what they have done to the later cars.

I'd rate mine a 4 also as there are some spots that could be better... but as you drive the car you will be creating some new spots any how...
