Default Ceramic Coated header and side pipes?

What are the advantages of creamic coating the headers and side pipes on the Backdraft cars? Most other cars come with plain steel headers and side pipes that will rust. BDR's come in stain less steel.

Ceramic coating = easier to keep clean, coated inside and out for rust protection, cools down much faster than plain steel or chrome plate, won't "blue" if carb jetting is off, won't chip (to name a few of the advantages).

If you have stainless sidepipes and headers, you don't coat those.

Backdraft headers are not coated at all unless you pay for that option.
The side pipes are stainless steel as a standard feature.

Ceramic coating your headers will also keep the temperature under the hood a little cooler. Header wrap will help a little more. Ceramic will also keep the headers from rusting. Backdraft headers are not stainless steel unless thay changed things recently. The stainless sidepipes look great. They will color (patina) at the elbow and tip some. I don't mind the look, some people hate it. If you don't like it, then coat the pipes too.

I would not spend the money to ceramic coat the headers I got from BDR. They are beat-up, choked, spliced, grind marks all over and the welds look like snot. I may be over reacting because I just took the wrappers off of them, but man are they doo doo. Add another $200 to the build.
