Another cheap fix. Rubberized undercoating available at all automotive paint stores. It comes in an aerosol can and is used all the time in bodyshops under the car and also to cover repair damage so it can't be seen. Spend a little bit extra to get the Rubberized version. Usually paintable too if you want. Great sound deadening.
