Alfonso,
Happy to hear this. You are known throughout the world as the inventor of the the Titanium Ghost! I will let you know that there are now 6 or so followers of you around the USA with more on the way.

Someday you need to checkout the East Coast of the USA or perhaps the big Backdraft gathering this September in Florida?

Default I'll be careful

Yes I'll be careful, but I dont feel too much power, It's like a big Harley Davidson, it's very progresive. The car only have 330 miles on it, and I dont go over 4K rpm (I reached 5k a few times with the engine hot). Even if I quick down de gas pedal in first gear (with the clutch totally engaged) dont feel appearance of wheel spinning. The engine is a 302-345 bhp. Do you think that something is not well tuned? perhaps its soon to expect max power of engine?

Cheers

Alfonso

Wink Alfonso

Even that these cars are very light in weight and the tires grip the street great. It takes a good punch of the gas pedal or a dump of the clutch to get wheel spin. Don't push it too much yet. Wait for break-in to finish.
Welcome to the family.
Nice car.

Alfonso,

The wheel spin will come once you get it broken in and change the oil a couple of times. If not just put some lower gears in there and watch the tires spin and the gas mileage go down. It is all trade offs!

I am new to Cobra and am awaiting BDR #521 from Suncoast Cobra, which should be ready in two weeks...not like I am counting or anything! I noticed that there was a mention of a BackDraft gathering in September. Is there any date or details available?

is the 345hp at the flywheel? I had 310hp at the rear wheels with a 3.92 and if i dropped the clutch i would spin the wheels with some wheel hop. Never lost a race.

Max,
My N ew car has allegedly got approx 500HP (I am not sure where they measured it) and it is darn qucik........BUt heres the thing, I really have to try damn hard to get the wheels to break loose and spin.........IT just launches no mess no fuss.......just hauls ass out of the hole....
The new suspensions, set up the way Tony and them do, really works well.

Bit of Illegal stuff........Chased down a Yamaha R1 at our last Club run...ended up sitting on his tail at about 210Kmh..........on a twisty windy rd............and the car cornered like it was on rails............all Grip........hehehe I think the rider had to change his underwear when he glanced in his mirror and saw the Cobra sitting on his six.............

But seriously officer........I wasnt speeding, and dont condone street racing.......but damn I couldnt let that R1 get away with flying past the cobra's and GT40's, anyways I was late for a meeting..........:0

Mike521"

Check out the Deep South Cobra Club site www.dscc.us for the info on the Florida event. Also Reg is working on an event to be held in Florida for the arrival of car #500. Looking at possibly a 3 day event with some track time, a show, cookout etc. The DSCC is going to help put it together (Thanks Guys!). I visited Suncoast and they were great people like all the dealers. I went with Reg, Frank and the gang at Custom Cars as they are only 5 miles from my house. Good luck on your car and share some photos in the gallery when it arrives. Also make sure you sign up for the BackDraftBoys website for owners only. Good specific info on Backdraft cars.
