Better Rear Shocks

I just replaced the rear Bilsteins with KYB Gas-A-Just and I'm much happier with the KYB's for street driving. The Bilsteins are REALLY firm. If I go tracking I'll put the Bilsteins back on.

I put the Bilsteins on about 300 miles ago...they are stiff, I think to stiff for normal street driving. And on choppy roads under hard acceleration in second gear the motor revs (tire spin) on the chop. Sledge...Got a KYB part number? are these VW unit also?

Just installed a set of KYB Gas-A-Just's I bought from Jay's online store. Big thumbs up. Perfect rear shock for the street. I just got back from a trip from CT to Long Island and back. The Bronx bridges are a good testing area for suspension changes

This was an excellent thread. Just installed the KYB Gas -Adjust (my stock shock was leaking) and took it for a spin, worked very well - great thread, contributions and search engine.

Widows Son, I am so glad you restarted this thread. I decided to replace the shocks on my car (2,700 miles on it) with these due to your post. Well when I pulled off the stock shocks I found that both were DEAD.. No leaks at all but both were 100% dead, neither will compress or expand without my help... Needless to say car rides SOOOOOOOO much better with the new KYB's..
