Default new owner...pics inside

thx for all the excellent info on this site. It made a difference in my decision. Frank in Boynton Beach made it happen and delivered the car to my door. Pics attached.....under the hood a Roush 427. Question for the experts....how are you guys keeping it clean? Do you guys wash it/get it wet? How bout a California duster?

thx in advance...tried posting pics via HTML but im not getting it.

Welcome to the madness, Todd. Great looking car!

California duster works fine for dust, and a quick detailer spray like Meguiar's for fingerprint's etc. using a microfiber cloth.

Here's wishing you many fun safe miles.

Congratulations on the new delivery T!!

Someone on CC turned me on to Wet Paint which is awesome stuff.

In between, I use Meguiar's detailing spray and a California Duster.

Copy the fourth link down in Photobucket, the one that says "IMG Code". Then paste it in your reply.

Any good detail spray and clean microfiber towel. If you drop microfiber towel on ground - throw it away!

awesome!!!!.....thx for the pic advice. The only gripe i have is that the stripe on the rear isnt centered....you might be able to notice. But it doesnt make the car any slower. And trying to fix it might screw it up more. ;-)

Looks great!

Is it a matter of aligning the trunk lid better to align the stripes?

Nice looking car! I have the same color combination. For wax, the best I have found is Zaino. Goes on easy , comes off easy and showroom shine!

Never wash! Meguiars and a cloth diaper, a California duster for, um, dust.

Thumbs up

congrats on the ride !!

427 should be enough ... for a while

Once the paint is fully cured a few light coats of a good wax should keep it looking good and stop the bugs from sticking. As the others said - a light duster for taking care of the static cling dust.

Now .... pull a gear, drop the hammer and enjoy the drive !!

Great looking car, by any chance is the color Guardsman Blue? That's the color they did for me. In between waxings, I've been using Mequiars Detail since I took delivery in Sept "05 and I've been pleased with the results.

Use a car cover when she will be parked for a week or more (minimize dust) and the I occasionally wash her then use Zanio products.

Stripe alignment? Who cares. You can't see the a$$ end from the driver's seat.

A finicky neat-freak to micro-adjust your boot hinges is called for. The last time I dicked with mine, after an hour or so road vibration, it moved a quarter inch to the LEFT of centerline.

Our drives have fibreglas bodies, they move around a bit with temperature changes. Besdides, who cares about the guy behind you? I'm watching the guy in front of me. HEE HEE!

Default Stripe Alignment

You may be able to got to a home center and get a few of the little sticky bumper/felt pieces that are made to put on the bottom of vases, etc. to keep them from scratching the coffee table, shelf, where they sit. You can get them in about any size, and they will stick to the inside of the body and push against the trunk lid, hood, or whatever to align it. Looks like yours needs to go to the left a little, but no one except the owner is going to notice. These things are also good from keeping the trunk/hood from scraping on the body and rubbing paint off and squeaking when driving. The first thing I noticed about my cobra was the ungodly squeaks it had, partly from hood and trunk lids rubbing on the body and partly from hiem joints.

Enjoy the car, there is nothing else like it!

Excellent idea or go to a hobby shop they will have 8.5x11 sheets of felt with a sticky side. Just to throw in a jab, my spf does not require any, ouch why do i have to be this way!!!
