So far it looks like we will have a great turn out (over two dozen cars and 50 people) and it will be perfect weather. If you have not received your Evite, you are either not signed up or your SPAM filter caught it. In order to receive your Evite, please sign up at
www.BACCevents.com and/or change your filter. This way you can be sure to be on the list for other events.
We are trying to get a
final headcount for breakfast and lunch. While these are no-host meals (along with the wine tasting - $15 for two Estate flights, 4-5 wines in one flight and 2 in the other), we are trying to make sure they have enough staff for us. As such, if you have not already submitted your Evite response, please do so ASAP (I understand that some decisions must be last minute, but we are now close). If "life" happens and you need to change between now and Saturday, feel free to update your Evite status or post a note here. FWIW, some folks can only attend breakfast, others the Toy Box and others won't make the Run but will do one or the other early events - whatever works for you is fine - kindly just let us know.
After our Toy Box visit, we will be on the road for about a two hour drive over the Coastal Range to Highway One and then back up and down to Saratoga. It is only about a 70 mile run (with about 6 stop signs), but especially for those coming from the East Bay, you will probably want to stop at the Chevron station between I-280 and Woodside as the pickin's for fuel along the way are pretty slim. Saratoga has a number of stations when you head home.
Cameras and sunscreen would also be good to bring along. It will probably be a bit crisp early in the morning. BTW, thanks to Tim Brown who has offered to take photos after about 1:15 at lunch/wine tasting.
Please try to arrive at breakfast as close to 8 AM as possible as we only have about 1¼ hours to schmooze, feed us 4 dozen people (and the other diners - it is a
very popular place) and then take off. I plan to arrive early to mark off some parking spots, but it is a public lot so there are really no "hold-zies". There is a group leaving from Pleasanton promptly at 7:30 if that works for you.
Thanks for making this another great Run. Tom
