				 Hooters Spring run..any interest?
 Hi all,
I have spoken to the manager at Hooters in Campbell about doing a lunch get together on some weekend, once the weather gets a little better, toward spring. He was very accommodating offering to block off the prime parking for us and cone it off. We would also more than likely have some nice photo ops for next years calander! We could incorporate a trip to Canepa after lunch as well, as it is only minutes away. Please respond online or offline as to the interest level, so I can plan this out or not.

 Andrei

I wouldn't say Canepa is "minutes" away; more like 30 minutes give or take.
Hooters sounds good. I've never been to one in my life. I owned one of their calendars back when they were just getting started (around the mid 80's I think) thanks to a co-worker that used to work in the Florida Hooters. |

I would be up for that. Just let me know date and time. I'm sure Danette will join. The only thing, I know the picture idea for me won't fly!!

You mean Danette won't pose by our cars?

 Sounds good Andrei.
I think the only organized event that some people might have a conflict with, is the Central Coast BBQ at Lake San Antonio on Saturday 3/27. Maybe we can target another Saturday in March or early April?

I'd be into it, if my Cobra is back from the paint shop (and reassembled...).

 Doug,
Not to worry ... I won't have a car either, we could just 'happen' to show up when the rest of the guys do, except we park around the corner! |

I'm not a Cobra owner, nor a fan of Hooter's chichen wings, but I hope to be there to see the cars. I'm in the planning/saving/dreaming portion of my build. |

 Doug
I don't think many of us going to Central Coast BBQ at Lake San Antonio on Saturday 3/27, if there is nothing going on around here on this date, then why not cruise to Lake San Antonio?

 | Hey Tan,

Good to hear from you.

I'm planning on going up to the Good Guys show in Pleasanton on 3/27. If the weather is good, I'll take the Cobra. They usually get a good turn out. I've taken my Cobra to 3 or 4 events at Pleasanton. Great crowd and no worries at all about leaving the car and walking around to see the show. Last time I was there, I talked to Chris (CJ428CJ - BACC regular) who owns an ERA and another couple who live in the North Bay and have a SPF.

Doug, you mind if I go up to the fairgrounds with you? I'll take my car also.

A buddy of mine who lives in Los Gatos is going to ride up with me. We usually go to breakfast early and then drive in a little later and park in the perimeter (kind of out of the heavy traffic area).

Let's plan on touching base as the date gets closer. If the weather is iffy, we can just go in one our daily drivers. If it looks like rain, I'll probably bail.

No worries! Danette and I were there one time and a little kid was rolling his match box hot wheel across the trunk of a car with his mom standing next to him!!
I was planning on the lake bbq.

 | The kids only roll their match box cars over aluminum cars, we're safe.

If I plan on leaving the beast in general parking (very rarely), I put on my car cover. I've seen that little kid. Rich |
