It pays to name your daughter Shelby
When we met Mr. Carroll Shelby at Denbeste, I thought this was the highlight of an already great day of being surrounded by great cars and great people with the same passion.
When we shook hands, he handed me a card to his CS Childrens Heart Foundation. He simply said send the photo over and he'll sign it because I was an idiot for not bringing a picture in my wallet.
Well, I did what he said and....
Pretty wild to get a certificate! As you can see, his current signature is not quite like his early years. It's understandable as I'm sure he signs thousands of items a week. I wanted to digitize this in case the photo fades. It was bent up a bit in the UPS envelope so I have a heavy book on it to flatten it out.
I'll eventually have this nicely framed for my daughter. Just wanted to share. |
