Have had run in with highway patrol 5 times. Started when stopped with a wide load. I had wide load signs on, red flags on all parts that were to wide. Was pulled over and told I needed flags on side not hanging over. Was told should put load in middle not to one side. I have hauled wide loads for 31 plus years with no accident. Tried to explain why I load the way I do and He did not want to hear. This is the big surprise, almost every ticket you get is now a misdemeanor, I would have just paid fine and been done with it , but I'm not a criminal. I have a clear class one license and want to keep it clear. I had no choice but to go to trail and I won. Had to do the same the next 5 times I was stopped. All small infractions I received were misdemeanors. I had to go to court all times or I would have had a rap sheet. I won all 6 times and the H.P. finally stopped harassment. You can not afford to get stopped any more for anything.

I try to avoid the scales at all times, the trucking industry is under fire right now, and the reason being, we all know why, its called money.
