Steve: Don't let the 40% chance of rain on Sunday worry you. I am presuming you will have more than one *real* Cobra in your bunch (no top or working windshield wipers), so I am guaranteeing the appearance of at least one similar beast from the deep south (south bay) for breakfast Sunday in Petaluma. I just located my parka I used to raft the Colorado back in the day and once I find my Rain-X I'm ready to go. Rich |

Rich, since you are close to the same advanced age as myself, I'll assume you forgot what this thread is about, between the time you clicked on it and the time you actually typed your response.

I know how easy it is to confuse old people Dave, but I noticed no one had responded to Steve's concern about the weather and thought I'd let him know we weren't about to "pull a bait and switch." OK, I could've replied sooner, but I was hoping the weather report would get better, not worse, as it turns out. So, am I going to see anyone else at breakfast Sunday in Petaluma? 40% chance of rain. Who you callin' silly, Dave? Oh, I just discovered my tent footprint, which will cover the lower part of me in case the rain gets too heavy. Let's see, will Rain-X work on my shades? Rich |

 Rich,
I don't have a count from the North Bay folks but we have about 12-15 who said they are coming.

I see 30% change of precip with "few showers". Seems we go through this weather issue anytime there's a chance of rain.

When we were coming back from BACC-Santa Barbara earlier this year, the forecast was 60% rain in San Jose, we actually got a few light showers in Paso Robles and stayed dry all the way home. Point is it's not an accurate science and "showers" means that somewhere in the area someone might get a little wet.

Remember 30% chance of precip means 70% chance it will stay dry

If you drive at the appropriate speed, no rain will enter the car.
