Default Merry Christmas! (from that weird electric guy)

Just wanted to wish everyone a merry Christmas
The electric is coming along, slowly. I got a old forklift motor a week ago and now its time to rebuild it to make it live at high voltage.

Merry Christmas, Jeff McCabe

Happy Holidays everyone! I know it's just after Christmas (it's 12:35AM as I type) but I had a great Christmas full of family and food! ... and a few goodies for SNKVNNM too.

Here are pictures of the rear battery box and charger mounting point. This week I will finish adding Willwood spot calipers to the rear.
Hope you all enjoy your holiday.

Thanks, Jeff

I have been off line for several days and missed your early post but I hope everyone had an enjoyable Christmas. Now have a safe and prosperous New Year.

Keep feeding us pictures of your project, it sounds very interesting.

we could make it a bet! The cold weather has kept me out of the garage more often this winter. I've currently got just the carb, intake, timing chain cover, alternator, pullys and water pump removed. I still have a long way to go ( still need to remove header/side pipes, radiator, heads.)

If weather get's better this weekend, I may have it stripped down and ready for the installation of parts. Got all the gaskets, Permatex, 6400 rpm pill... it's all up to the weather now.

My wife keeps telling me they need to make kits to convert our old cars into high efficiency electric vehicles. I keep telling her to go buy a new electric car if she wants one. She will be thrilled to know you are making an electric Cobra. Do you have extra batteries for the amp/speaker system to make the rumble-rumble sound?

I'm keen to see this come together Jeff. I am not a tree hugger but think it pretty cool you are doing something alternative.
Please keep us updated on your assembly.
