Engine Almost done
For the past few months I've been slowly building (rebuilding ) my 347; most of the days it's been too cold but in just these past two weeks, with the help of another FFR builder in San Jose helping me past the stuck drain plug, I've taken it from a sort block:
To major assemblies bolted in:
Lots of measuring had taken place just for the sake of making sure everything is within tolerance (piston to valve clearance still good despite slight bit more lift) and I'm pretty satisfied this 3rd build is done well. I spent a lot of today just on the water pump to ensure it's sealed well.
I'm almost done as you can see. Need to clean up the valve cover gaskets and install them and after the picture was taken, I replaced the air filter with a new one.
Hope to get the car back on the road by March .
