Looking better; wife's project got delayed by a month! So unless a miracle happens, I'm in (but she'll probably stay home.)

Just got back from Italy with the group. Plan for two coming from Aptos and we'll meet directly at Canepa's so a time would help on when you plan to be there.

I might be able to make it. But need to leave the option open.
I did happen to notice about 6 cobras run thru Carmel today around 12:30 on Saturday.
One had the tag "faksnake". There was a silver-bronzeish looking Daytona in the group.
Sweet sounds. Who, what, n where, were the all going?
Best wishes to all,
Glenn

Approximate Schedule
7:30 - Depart Rock House - you guys are on your own for leaving by this time. There is a Chevron Station just north of CA 92 in HMB on CA 1.
8:30± or earlier if you like - Breakfast at the 3-Zero Cafe @ Half Moon Bay Airport - 5 miles north of CA 92 on the west side. Park in lot on north side of restaurant. 3-Zero Cafe - Half Moon Bay, CA - they don't have their own site.
9:45± - depart for Tour. I expect two groups. All will leave at the same time: one will head south on CA 1 to Santa Cruz and then head east on CA 17 to Granite Creek Road and will loop back over the freeway to Scotts Valley Dr. Turn left onto Scotts Valley Drive until Macleod Way (.9 mi) where you make a U-turn to 4900 Scotts Valley Dr. - Canepa Design. Canepa Design. This drive is a more direct, less winding road, and is great for co-pilots who don't care for the twisties.
The other group will also go down CA 1, but only 18 miles to San Gregorio (CA 84) turn left heading inland until the group hits CA 35 (about 10 miles, @ Alice's Restaurant) and will then turn right heading south on CA 35 (Skyline Blvd). Travel on CA 35 for approximately 20 miles before heading west on CA 17 for 7± miles. Take CA 17 to Scotts Valley Drive (exit 5). Turn left onto Scotts Valley Drive until Macleod Way (.9 mi) where you make a U-turn to 4900 Scotts Valley Dr. - Canepa Designs. Canepa Design
11-11:20 AM± - Assuming we leave at 9:45 promptly, the group that takes CA 1 should get there a little after 11 while the other will arrive about 20 minutes later.
No Host lunch will be about a mile away at 230 Mt. Hermon Road at Bruno's BBQ ( Bruno's BBQ: The Original California BBQ) where they have a diverse menu including salads and lots of BBQ. My guess is that we will be heading to lunch by 1 PM.
Due to the length of this Run, I did not schedule a winery stop as it would have made too long a day - sorry. The weather is currently forecast to be wonderful for driving, after mid week rain - this should be a great way to close out the 2011 driving season.
Tom
P.S. - thanks for continuing to post or e-mail me regarding your attendance - it will help with the restaurants and Canepa.

Sorry, but my plans have changed. My Goddaughter's dad will be in town, so it looks like a Fleetweek week. I was looking forward to both breakfast at 3-Zero and Canepa, but not this time. Rich

Well, work got in the way and they've asked for overtime on Saturday. Looks like I'm not going to make this year. But I'm going to drive my FFR into work at least.
Depending on when things get done, I may be able to make to Canepa's but it's not looking very good even at that point. Where are you ending up for lunch?

Do people going through Santa Cruz want to meet up and cruse together? I would suggest on Hwy1/Mission St. turn left on Western (last signal light). Meet at T intersection (one block).

Last minute thoughts
Al - glad you can join us at Canepa's and Bruno's.
I have reconfirmed all three locations - parking should not be a problem and we should have a guide for much of our time at Canepa's although there is a lot to see on your own.
3-Zero breakfast - with about 40 people for breakfast, we are planning on eating outside. This is fun because one gets to see planes land and take-off. It can be a bit chilly, so those joining us in closed cars, be sure to pack some clothes for outdoor dining. There will probably be some tables inside for those who get too cold. Here is an article from Wednesday's SM County Times about the 3-Zero. Little-known airport eatery best place for breakfast in Half Moon Bay - San Jose Mercury News such a nice article may mean it will be more crowded on Saturday, so don't be late. Please plan on parking to the right (north) of the restaurant.
Breakfast and lunch - please bring cash because with such a large group, neither restaurant can provide individual checks - sorry.
Weather should be clear and a bit warmer than today. Tom
