Anyone up for a meetup/ cruise?

Hi everyone,

I just got my contemporary classic cobra recently and I'd like to meet up with some other cobra owners in the bay area. Meet up/cruise, whatever. There was another thread about meeting up for breakfast but not too many replies on there. So If anyone is interested lets set something up! I'm thinking Sunday 9/9 I am in the Sunnyvale/Cupertino area.

Have you checked out baccevents.com?

pliot_guy,

Congratulations on getting your Cobra! As Randy noted, there are a number of events on the BACC site.

I would be up for a meet/drive on Sunday 9/9 morning or afternoon. Perhaps a run up to Alice's for breakfast or drive out to Half Moon Bay for lunch? Does something along those lines sound appealing?

JerryD 08-28-2012 07:38 AM

I would also enjoy being part of a breakfast or morning drive on 9/9. I'd have to pass on a afternoon drive because I have to be in front of the boob tube watching my 9er's. Even though I'm retired I still have my responsibilities. :o )

pliot_guy 08-28-2012 05:36 PM

HI tkb289 - Yes a run up to Alice's would be great so my cobra can really stretch her legs for the first time ! ( i tried to pm you but i kept getting error messages so im nto sure if you got it.)

Randy- Thanks for the link, I am hoping for something more along the lines of getting in touch with some guys that are close to me where we can have a meetup or drive with little notice. More local to the south bay.

pliot_guy,

Got your PMs ... sent one back. As Sunday 9/9 get's closer, we will likely get some more takers. Sounds like a breakfast at Alice's works. Typically we meet in Saratoga at Starbucks around 7:45 am and roll at 8:00 sharp (especially if Dave is the lead dog ;))

Some of the guys coming from the North just meet us there.

Look forward to meeting you and JerryD as well!

- Tim

Sounds like a plan ! Sorry Jerry I didn't see your post earlier. Sounds like the breakfast drive will be the best option !

Dave will be in Oregon with the English car for the week. Have a good time. Now you can leave anytime you want!

tkb289 08-28-2012 09:50 PM

Have a nice trip up north, a great way to stretch the English car's legs!

Maybe we can leave a bit later ... 8:03 sounds about right.

Also guys, there is a really neat funderraiser car show put on by my buddies car club in downtown Willow Glen that day. Perhaps a romp early and meet down there for breakfast. Or you guys should come by afterwards to check out the cars and music.

I'm definitely open to that as well, of there's any other takers?

JerryD 08-29-2012 02:00 PM

No problem pliot guy. I'll continue to monitor this thread to see what destination we decide on.

pliot_guy

Are we still on for a breakfast on Sunday morning 9/9 ?

There is also a thread for breakfast on Saturday 9/8 ... I am up for either one or both :)

Any thoughts ?

pliot_guy 09-07-2012 10:57 AM

Hey, Yes I am still good for Sunday, if there is still some interest? I wont be able to do Saturday because I have to take the wife and kids to the airport.

scootter 09-07-2012 12:20 PM

Andrei,

Is that on Sunday?? So much to choose from!!I will do one or the other. If Sunday is better for everyone, then that will work. I have way to much crap to do at my house still to burn two days. Pool and deck is done, I get left with everything else!!

Off to Sacramento in 30 minutes for my daughters college game against Sac!! Let the games begin.:D

Hey Scott,

It is on Sunday. I am now not sure if I am going to make it, tomorrow is my wife's 40th and she has been sick all week and still is. I assume I may be just hanging out at home. Regardless it is an awesome event, very nice raffle, great people, great entertainment. See below for a link for more info.

pilot_guy,

Lots to choose from ... Alice's in Woodside / Baji's in Mountain View / Cars & Caffeine at Club Auto Sport / Willow Glen Car Show & Food Drive ... or mix and match ?

Any preference?

pliot_guy 09-07-2012 09:04 PM

Wow ! Great to have such a large selection ! Unfortunately I wont be able to do any of the saturday ones but I would love to attend anything that is on Sunday !
