CA SB-708 Smog Law Amended!!

SB-708 was read again on the 29th with all of Flores new changes and it is staill a nightmare, even more so. Now he had did away with the first change that allowed vehicles of 30 years old or older to be exempt from smog if they were driven less than 12,000 miles per year and were built by a car MANAFACTURER. Ie, Ford, GM, Shelby, etc. I have been studying his latest farce and trying to find all the sections and subsections of the health and safety codes and Penal code that he is adding and so far all I can come up with is he is going to give the counties the power to also check emissions at the sobriety checkpoints and that will take some of the heat off of him. Most of the Penal code changes are just increasing the fines by large amounts. this latest version has no mention of any year car, so by their interpertation that would include any car, vehicle, or special construction car. The only sure way to avoid law suites, loss of vehicles and an all out confirmantation with the Emperor and his court jesters is to have this bill voted down and not let it get to Davis's desk. I have called and written and e-mailed until I am just tired of it. No one seems to want to really talk about this which is the politicians trick of letting it die down and then rushing in and passing it. If anyone else can shed more light on this vastly amended last version please post it.
