When I went to the CHP I tried to get them to use my CSX number--and they were up to do it--but their computer (?) didn't allow them to do it. So they gave me a CA # and attached the tag to a place under the dash--you have to look for it (on your knees) to see it. They were very friendly and happy to help--and not a word about the sound of the car.
Good luck with them this week.
