Question SB-100... now what?

Ok,

I survived the trip to the BAR (bureau of auto repair) But they don't call it that anymore. Either way it getting fingered as a gross polluter couldn't have been easier nor could they have been nicer.

I am now ready to turn in my SPCNS paperwork. The BAR guy had no idea what to do with it, and I stopped at the DMV on my way home hoping to drop my paper work in their express box but thought I would ask the info babe before I did.

All she wanted to know was whether the CHP had verified (verified it is safe) it. keep in mind it has been titled and register for 15 years. I finally convinced her It wasn't required under the provision of SB-100. She suggested I take a number, #109 I think, and they were on #3 or 4... No thanks. So I made an appointment for three weeks from now.

My question is what happens to the SPCNS paperwork?? I have the sequence certificate, smog cert. from the BAR, my original registration (current) and a new registration form the very first DMV babe had me fill out back on Jan 2, 2003 at 10:30 am after she finally was convinced I hadn't made the whole thing up and she had gotten an answer from sacramento on what to do with me.

Has anyone just dropped it into the express box and lived? It seems like since the BAR generated an inspection form and passed smog certificate / inspection, the DMV would be notified electronically and the change would be immediate, much like our regular smog checks are... Any thoughts or experiences on what to do now?
