Thumbs up

...just a quick note of appreciation to Tony and Rick for coordinating such a wonderful banquet dinner. And thanks for Mike for hosting us at his club, and thanks to Dave for giving such a heart-felt presentation. Thanks also to our sponsers for the great raffle prizes.

Bessie and I had a great time. As Tony said, "It's the Cobras that brought us together, but it's the people that make this club the best!".

Thanks,
Randy R...

Talking Win a driving school !!!!

Gary,
I saw your post script of "sometimes lucky, sometimes not"
and thought about the luck people at dinner. Two individuals in particular were big winners. Not you, Tony or me, this time. The person that won the Bondurant driving school ( put up by Dave Smith) and the lucky guy with the great wife that bid and won the Hooked on driving - cobras ( put up by David Ray of "hooked on driving. com") I didn't keep track of the names, but they are lucky people... I have done both driving events and they are both a ..... Kick..

I guess we are all lucky to have the friendships we have found in this group.

Regards Terry

Terry,

I wasn't able to make the dinner, but it sounds like you guys had a terrific time. In particular, I've done two of the Hooked on Driving events, the first was a school at Thunderhill where my wife Linnea got some very good instruction (yup, she's got the bug now as well), and the second was the one a few weeks ago when you brought your monster Cobra. The after session debriefings and instruction are incredibly helpful, and led by SCCA licensed racers and instructors. A great way to improve your skills without committing to a two or three day course at one of the major schools.

TT

Hi Terry,

I was the guy with the supportive wifey (Shawna) that bid on the Hooked on driving day. The timing was great as our table was talking about track time before the auction began. We really enjoyed the event and meeting some of the presidents face to face. Thanks again to Tony, Rick and Mike.
