The hills above Stanford Univ are beautiful. There are some fun roads thru Los Altos, Portola and Woodside - I drove them in my youth...

Sorry, not being able to drive my Cobra is "no picnic" (pun intended).

One of my favorite runs is to take Page Mill Road from 280 all the way to the ocean. Turns into Alpine Road just before Skyline and eventually becomes Pescadero Road. The Santa Cruz Mountains are full of lovely redwood forests, often great smooth twisty roads and sometimes real twisty, nasty, narrow bumpy ones, where I do slow down a bit. I mean a lot.

This will be my first picnic with my beast. You will hear me coming up 280 a couple of miles away. Rich

My wife and I plan to be there and have already RSVP'd.

Sorry Randy won't make it -

Rich - Ditto on the drive, it is a great one!

Also planning on going to Laguna on 8/14 -

Tom

The picnic was very good. I ate so much [very good] chili that I was too full for the links. The Margaritas were good too. I'll have to pace myself better next time. Good turnout, but I missed the '39 Ford from last year.

I'd really like to see all those old Ferraris at Laguna Seca this year, but I've signed on to crew for my high school bud who hopes to turn over 200 MPH at Bonneville again in his nitrous assisted, brand x powered O.S.C.A. My first time there. Should be fun. At both venues. Rich
