Bill,
My BAR test today went awful.
When I got to the BAR guy at Las Positas College in Livermore the guy first asked how I wanted to register it. I said ideally SB100 but we all know that ain't gonna happen till January 06 at best. So I told him by engine year. My block number is C5AE-H which in my book states it is a 1965 to 12-9-65 block. He verified this by getting under my car and read the numbers himself. He pulled out some documents he had but couldn't find my number with a -H option. Just the C5AE. So he calls his boss who told him to find the date code on the front of the block. The only number we found was 352, duh! So he calls his boss again and gets told that the 65 blocks went into 66 cars so I need to smog it as a 66. I said no way because of the additional smog requirements. I politely argued for a bit but could soon see I was getting no where. So I bailed. Now I don't know what to do.
I won't be checking my work email until Monday. If you could forward your PM to warptmind1@comcast.net I'll check it this weekend.
Thanks,
Mike
