I wonder why 4 psi less in the rear? Might give more traction out of the hole, but less lateral stability. I'd be more interested in keeping my ass end behind me. I hate it when it tries to pass me.
By the way, Saturday is the third Saturday of the month. See ya at Baji's! Rich |

Rich, I was wondering the same thing. I've always run my tires at 28 so I'll drop the fronts when I get back on the road.

Tom: Tire pressures can be an individual thing. I don't mind a firmer ride, but really like turning corners, so I run 32 psi all around. And so far, the tread is wearing evenly. With its XKE suspension, the Cobra actually has a smoother ride than my Corvette, with its ZR1 [bonecrusher] suspension. Rich |

Rich, i guess you need to clarify that you have C4 ZR1 suspension and not C6 ZR1 suspension I actually really like the new C6 ZR1 except for the hood window (what were they thinking!!!)

As for this weekend, the forecast is for COLD, but more importantly I've got a birthday party at Chuck E Cheese to take my son to.

Whoops! I should have said "Z51" suspension on my ancient C4 '87 Corvette, now at 255K miles. Never had a head off and still runs great, although it does use a *little* oil . It gets me to Baji's while the Cobra is still being put back together. Your son's birthday is most important of course, but if you *really* wanted to, you could do both. Rich |

 Daryl,
I know Chuck E Cheese doesn't open at 8:00am Saturday morning.
I have done my share of that with my four kids. Heck, one year we even took my dad there for his birthday so all his grandchildren could run around and have fun . He wasn't a happy camper when the giant mouse ( Chuck E) came out to sing Happy Birthday to him.

I've been itching to get the Cobra out, but can't make it this weekend. Hopefully, I can get out for another drive with you guys soon.

 I'll be going to Baja's. I'll meet anyone who's interested at Starbuck's at 7:00.

Ah...nearly 40 degrees and sunny tomorrow morning...perfect weather for a drive!
My car is in Reno (hopefully a short visit) for some work, so I won't be able to make it.

Have fun and I'll catch up with you soon.

depends upon rain. I've got to also work on my poor VW; replacing the roof antenna means removing the headliner! And I should change the oil on the Cobra; it's a bit overdue. But we'll see. |
