Tan,
Duane can confirm, as it looks like there are two different times on the schedule. I'm pretty sure that lunch kicks off at 1:00 pm.
The reservation that I made for Chuck, Dave, Scott/Danette, me/Kathleen is for 1:15 pm.

Saratoga to Capitola in 45 minutes? Via Skyline Drive?
Sounds like fun to me.
I'll get to the 76 station early. So if you're late - and don't see me - you'll know I've already been and gone.

Hey Gents,
Missed a good trip ( and some excitement) last weekend.
Let me know what the plan is. We are flexable. We only put 600 miles on the car last weekend. Just finished getting it cleaned up for this Friday!!!!!

Chuck, I don't think you can drive that route in one hour. Won't it take an hour just to get to 17?

Dave - I though the same thing. I mapped it out on Google and it shows the route as ~36 miles/46 minutes.

Hmmm, Google must be aware of our individual driving habits. Apparently it knows that I'm more gentle behind the wheel than Doug, and so says it's going to take me 53 minutes to drive that route.
It would probably tell Scott 30 minutes, tops.

I think Hwy 17 give you shorter distance, but more traffic
I think Chuck's route seem like fun to drive and less traffic
I am fine either route

Doug, is the 36 miles to 17 or Gayles? I'm too lazy to check.

Dave - I didn't save the search, but I'm pretty sure it was 36 miles to Gayles, since my overall time was close to Chuck's.
Chuck - Haven't been that route in years, but I think the road narrows down to one lane where Skyline ends and you turn off on Bear Creek.

I was going to mention that next before I commit. The road gets so narrow that if you meet another vehicle, someone needs to back up! There is no room to pull off the road.

The other choice is Black Rd (which we took when we went to dinner Alice's), but that might take a little more time.

The route contained in my previous post shows the mileage. I double checked Google and Yahoo maps and they both show appx. 38 miles, and less than 1 hour, from the 76 station to Gayles.
Doug, I've never driven this route, so I'm sure your memory is correct. It looks like a fun drive, but I'm not twisting anyone else's arm to join.
See you at Gayles at 9:00.

I'm going to go over 17 to Gayles from Los Gatos. If anyone wants to meet up in LG let me know.
