Default Breakfast at SF's Beach Chalet, Sat. 10/18

I have to be in SF early Saturday morning. Anyone up for breakfast at the Beach Chalet overlooking Ocean Beach? They open at 8 AM which is perfect timing for me. After breakfast we could go for a drive, perhaps over the GGB and into southern Marin. Other options are welcome. Weather is currently forecast to be clear.

You know, for as long as I've lived in SF, I have never eaten there! Always saw it when I used to go to Playland at the Beach (yeah, I be old!). Is it any good????
Last time I saw it was last month; was pretty crowded too but mostly with tourists.

Just one man's opinion, but the food and service are average.

Now if it's a really windy day and you happen to be driving along the Great Highway, get ready for some sand in your face.

Rodney is correct, the food/service is average, the atmosphere is OK and the tourists do seem to enjoy it. On the other hand, at 8 AM on a Saturday morning, there will not be a lot of tourists. While there may be some morning fog (forecast is 58º and clear for 8 AM Saturday in San Francisco), I do not believe there will be much wind.

I am open to an alternate SF location, as long as parking is available. One of the guys attending lives out in that general area, so it works for him but I would imagine he is open to another suggestion. I have to be near CCSF at 7:45 to drop my son off so I could meet anywhere, with enough notice.

Playland at the Beach - I sure miss Sally - oops, I guess I must be old too

Tom: never too old. I just saw "Sally" this summer at Neptune's Palace in Santa Cruz.

I've been away from SF far too long to recommend a good place; especially in terms of parking. I hear there are good eat around 8th and Irving but parking kinda sucks.

In any case, have fun. I'd go if it wasn't for the race in Monterey.
