Also, my radiator is dripping. I may just pony up for a new one from FFR instead of trying to repair it a 2nd time.

Doug,

Let's see ... between Herman's leaky FF radiator and Scott's leaky Ford SD radiator, my TR should fit right in, as it always seems to leaking a little bit of one thing or another. In my case however, it's supposed to ... it's British!

I'll plan to follow you guys up there, so save me a spot.

I'm in. Anyone interested in meeting in Saratoga about 7:30 for the drive up the hill? I'm going to have to eat and run, I have a golf game in Pleasanton latter in the morning.

Cool!

I'm going to try to make it to the Starbucks in Saratoga (across from the Union 76 Station on Big Basin Way) around 7:15 for a quick jolt of caffeine before we take off for Alice's at 7:30.

Great run to Alice's this morning!

Unfortunately, my day didn't end too well.

I started to hear some weird noises from the engine as I came back into Saratoga. At first, it sounded like an exhaust header manifold was leaking. Scott and I popped the hood and listened, but it doesn't sound too good. There's a definite knocking noise coming from right front bank of the motor.

I pulled the valve cover and there isn't anything visibly wrong that I can see. I also pulled the plugs and they look perfect. Next step is to do a compression test to see where I'm at.

Luckily, I ended up getting a great AAA tow truck driver who knew what he was doing.

Sorry to hear that Doug. You could have driven 1 mile to my house now that I have a space empty.

Good luck, at least it didn't happen at the beginning of the season.

Hey Guys,

Great Breakfast - fun to swap stories...

Ditto on the great run. It's been many years since I drove south 35 and then 9 into Saratoga, then Los Gatos. I really enjoyed it.

Doug, what a drag! I hope it's something simple and easy to fix.

Regards,
Randy...

Doug, that's bummer. I hate when things like that happen. As Dave said, at least it's the start of Winter, although the weather has been great. I hope that puppy is back on the road real soon.

Doug, really sorry to hear about the car. Hope it doesn't take long to get fixed. Glad I could finally put some faces to some of the people on the forum.

Really a great bunch of guys. Hope to get together again soon.

Doug, next time if you are in Saratoga with a problem, just give me a call, I have a lift in the garage if you need to see under the car.

Keep us posted on the outcome.

DJ

Doug,

Sorry to hear about the engine issue. I hope it isn't anything serious. Be sure to let us know how things turn out.

I had the pleasure of trying to fish my wife's cell phone from underneath the passenger seat when we returned home.

It was nice visiting with everyone.
