So valuable...but not much to look at. :3DSMILE:
The BAR will enter the sequence number in their system when your car blows out the smog meters, then they will unceremoniously toss the paper back at you...and which time you will walk around with a permanent grin for days.

Hence my confusion since I already had a BAR inspection done and I have a certificate number and the DMV manager told me I didn't have to go to the BAR again.. I guess I better go down there and talk to them and see what they say now.

Interesting. You might have to go down to the BAR again so they can enter your sequence number and apply your official SB100 exemption sticker.

Yes. it's the BAR that creates and applies the sticker to your car. Them entering your info into the computer is what makes it so it never comes up for smog check when registration is due for renewal.
Hopefully mine will be waiting in the mailbox for me when I get home.

So what you are saying is I may have to take my car back to the BAR for another inspection.. So I will need to rip my webers off and put the original parts back on?

onefastmustang, what does your current BAR sticker look like? Care to post a photo? Then we can give you advice if you need to revisit the BAR or not.

Leave the webers on.......it does not make any differance if you fail the smog test.......

Ed - Isn't the only requirement that you have a working PCV valve? Other than that, your emission levels won't matter since you have the SB100.

Your tag reads like the rest of them one four barrel carb and pcv. You may have to change for the test. Best to go back to the bar and ask.........

For fun I called the Smog Referee number and the agent there told me the car needs to be seen again. But I can do it any time I want, no expiration date on it and it can come as is with webers and all.

No PCV here and the San Jose BAR didn't say a thing to me. I passed, no problema.

Once again, no rhyme, reason, or standards. The PCV issue has come up for some people during the BAR. If you look at the reqt's area on the onefastmustang's label, it shows "PCV". The reqt's section on my label is blank.
Onefastmustang - when they re-do your vehicle information label, they'll add your SB100 sequence number in the comments section.

They will probably re-test the car with the Webers and issue a new label. Be aware that they do not have the ability to print 4 x 2 for Carburetion, so just put 2 x 4 so it is understood there is multiple carburetion on the engine from the beginning.
Be sure you specify you want it to be represented by Year the Body in lieu of year of engine so NO SMOG or ECS is required at all, they are currently requiring PCV, ESC, TAC.

Well, maybe they thought the oil puke tank on the firewall was a PCV device. Dunno. The chrome paint job may have confused them.
If they smog it to the year that the car replicates, or 1965, then was there a PCV device installed in 1965?
What's ESC and TAC? They look like keyboard keys to me.
