Dave is always in front going to Alices! "LIVE BAIT"

Hope you guys get the cars out over the weekend. I'm headed to LA for the Nationals Cheer Comp for my senior daughter!!

Scott aka "Scootter"

Scott,

Have a great trip to LA and best of luck to your daughter's cheer team! My youngest son is a senior (Homestead HS) as well and I have made many trips all over the state for marching band competitions. I have been a 'Band Dad' for nine years and will miss it.

Good to hear that it is completed. -- did the new pistons increase the compression ratio >? that could also account for the power boost.

I think the compression ratio is pretty much fixed, I am changing to a double pumper, so I have to check if it was already installed for the pull. Also atmospheric conditions can very the data. I just thought of another variable, all the bearings have 7k miles on them......less parasitic drag?

csx wnab 03-26-2009 10:00 AM

dave? if you ran the same 7000 mile bearings?, i have to ask why??? would you not want to replace them even if they looked good?, being you were there. you did'nt re-use the pan gasket too did you????????????

Dave, what carb were you using for the dyno, if not a double pumper? What cfm old carb versus new carb?

How did I get dragged into this? We all know I'm an upstanding law abidding citizen. Any unlawful activity can always be directly attributed to Scott.

Dave, any news on when your car will be ready? Are you thinking of going to the 4/25 BBQ event at Dynamic in Redwood City?

Stew should have driven it yesterday or today. Should by ready soon. I didn't know about the BBQ event, but I'm sure my car will be complete by then.

I was supprized when I talked to Stew the other day, seems that Tony changed my cam and lifters also. I asked him why and he said that Tony wanted to make the engine stronger! That explains the gain in HP and torque.
