Default Mustang ranch- roush authorized dealer

As most of you know , I am part owner of the Mustang Ranch in santa clara.

My goal for this when I engaged in this activity (12-2006) was to have a high quality "normal-guys" car shop specializing in FoMoCo and a few other marques.

Custom engine fabrication, restoration and helping folks with atypical performance issues.

Over the last 2 years we have made significant strides and improvements that have allowed us to grow in the face of a questionable economic atmosphere.

I listened to hundreds of enthusiasts and spent significant time with vendors customers, reviewing pricing , warranty coverage , performance to specification , performance to expectations , etc.

all with the goal of a quality product and services.

With that in mind, I met with the folks at Roush and I can say I am significantly impressed with their machine and machinery.

-- I am pleased to announce that Mustang Ranch is now

---the NEWEST ROUSH AUTHORIZED DEALER in Northern California !!!

-- for Crate Engines , Service, Parts , Warranty Administration, Installation, Etc.

SATURDAY: Saturday we will be working on Dyno Tuning with Sean Ellis a noted tuner from Southern California on some very special late model performance vehicles, we will be running from 10AM to 3PM on Saturday (4-18) and running the dyno most the day.

We are currently booked for this set of runs and tuning, but if you want to come down get an idea of what "Dyno" runs are like -- you can also check out the updates at the Ranch , you are most invited.

--Steve

Congratulations on becoming a Roush dealer!

While I've been very happy with my Roush motor, I've always thought they could really differentiate themselves by creating a stronger network of Roush Authorized Warranty Providers throughout the Country. I guess the SF Bay Area is now covered.

Many Many things coming up Rod, going to be almost weekly announcements here for a while -- awaiting some truck-transpo on one (heheheh) , awaiting paperwork to be complete on a couple of others!

--thank you all for your advice , thoughts and support!

Thumbs up Two thumbs up for the Mustang Ranch!

I wanted to take a moment to give two thumbs up to the Mustang Ranch and kudos to Steve Wood (PANAVIA) and team for providing excellent warranty service on my Roush motor!!!

I have a Roush 402 SR/TW that exhibited symptoms of a blown head gasket. Steve and David at the Ranch quickly identified the problem as a failed intake manifold gasket on the #5 cylinder. Steve did an excellent job of keeping me apprised of the situation while the repair work was being done and facilitated all of the warranty issues with Roush.

One other important note. My engine warranty had officially expired in July and Roush didn't flinch at covering the costs to do the repair. My car is running like a champ again!

I referred another BACC owner to the Mustang Ranch to have them do some warranty work on a broken rocker arm on a Performance Engineering motor, and the owner was also very satisfied the work that was done and level of service.

I would highly recommend the Mustang Ranch for your Cobra repairs. You can contact Steve directly via email or PM (PANAVIA on CC) or at:

Is that anything like the Mustang Ranch in Nevada?

If so, my "Cobra" could use some service!

Doug,

Glad to hear that Steve got your motor diagnosed and repaired, and that Roush took care of the warranty. Sounds like great costumer service all the way around!

Thank you Doug-- Glad to help.

We saw this particular failure mode in 2005-2006 with the Black Felpro Intake gaskets that were widely in use during that period by many people.

-- there is something about the modern formulation of gasoline or antifreeze that makes them essentially melt / mush-if-a-cate.

We have switched to Edelbrock Intake gaskets company wide and have had no such issue since.

Glad to hear all is great-guns with your Ti-Rocket.

Steve

Jhv -- we are the cleanest shop with the dirtiest name. --

The main shop has been around since 1981, and we reformulated in 2006-early-2007.

The name recognition gets us into some hot water, but all the other good shop names have been taken it seems and building a brand from scratch is harder than refining an existing one.

Your Cobra is welcomed to "get serviced" at the Ranch -with a Lube and Oil , but I can assure you it will be by a 40-60year old Adult Male mechanic ,

---and not "Air-Force-Amy" --

Cheers Buddy --

Steve

Hey Doug,

Got any roller 67/68 or 71-73 ragtops laying out back ? Looking to do a 4.6L/AOD style swap for a semi daily driver and shop parts chaser. Don't need a drivetrain, just something weather tight, so if you do not have anything that currently fits the bill, keep your eyes open for me.

Yours In Fords,

Bill S.

PS: Think I bought this faux 67 GT convertible from you guys many years ago.

PS, PDB, "C" code, automatic

When I called AAA to arrange to deliver the car to the Mustang Ranch, the service rep stumbled over her words when I told her the name of of shop.

I have a very minor issue that needs to be taken care of some time in the future and I may have to take a drive over some time. Steve (PANAVIA) has always been very helpful to me with my questions.

Glad Doug emailed me about this thread...Doug and I have almost the same motor and now wondering if the Felpro gaskets were used in my 402 SR (built Fall 2007).

Steve mentioned that the gasket problems that they'd seen were in the 2005 to 2006 range. My engine was built in early 2007, so maybe they were overstocked on Fel-Pro gaskets at the time and/or hadn't encountered any problems.
