Alice's Saturday if no rain
Who's up for breakfast at Alice's Saturday if the weather cooperates? Doug and I are picking up my car on Thursday and I need to stretch it out.

No can do this weekend. My daughter has a 10:15 game.
Are you going to the BBQ at Dynamic?

I'm up for it. I've got to be back in Santa Cruz after Noon on Saturday, so I'm going to have to pass on the BBQ at Dynamic.

I think I'll pass on the BBQ and maybe just find a longer way home from Alice's.

Will be in Las Vegas Saturday -- will think of you as I am by the pool.

As an FYI, the Tiger club (STOA) is having brunch at Rosettis at 11:00 AM on Saturday.

Polished? No, not anymore. I just agree with people now in order keep the conversations to a minimum. It's "chrome paint."

Hey Doug,
Things are going pretty good here, all things considered. Miss you guys and the weekend breakfasts and drives.
Driving on 95 here is like entering a demolition derby. I can't believe the number of serious accidents that literally shut this major highway down, sometimes more than once daily. I'm keeping the Cobra to the surface streets.
Haven't met any Cobra people yet, but have seen a couple on the streets.
Chuck

Chuck, I know what you mean. I was in Aventura and Hollywood a couple of weeks ago and traveled up and down 95. I saw a huge accident around 7pm on the other side of the freeway (southbound). Traffic was backed up for miles.

Back in the Cobra Saddle
Hello all, been awhile!
My sons have (finally!) finished their Ski Race season (did well at championships, etc.) and our weekly trek to Squaw Valley is now over! That said, we are in the midst of baseball season, with both boys playing the majors for the BELMONT-REDWOOD SHORES Red Sox (currently sitting in a tie with the Cardinals at the top of their division!).
Back in the bay area, I am looking forward to dusting off the Kirkham and getting it back on the road!
My boys have a 9:00 am game this Saturday against the Cubbies. I noted the BBQ at Dynamic and thought about attending? Thoughts? Would have loved to make Alices (never been there) but the timing will not work because of our baseball game, etc.
I know Dynamic hosted an event earlier this year. David is terrific and I was wondering if other members were going to make it?
Cheers! Good to be back!
Al

Al, check this thread out:
April 25th NorCal BBQ @ Dynamic R/C
Also, the NorCal Shelby Club will be there too. I should be able to make an appearance, but having two polished Kirkhams there at the same time may cause a major aurora borealis.

You guys get two polished Krikhams side by side, and with the right amount of sunlight bouncing around, you just might have a start on a solar BBQ

The two polished Kirkhams have never been seen side by side.
I'm not certain they exist. Urban legend??

That's not fair, Doug, you've seen mine once.
With two polished Kirkhams, there may be some "polarity" issue like when you have two magnets close to each other, they will repel away from each other, and cannot actually touch.

I hear that it's dangerous if you look at two polished Kirkhams in the sun at the same time. Something about retinal burning.

Hall is still doing some tweaking on Dave's car.
The weather isn't looking super hot late tonight and early tomorrow AM (should be nice for the BBQ at Dynamic later in the day), so I'm going to pass on Alice's on Saturday.

Anyone headed to Alice's tomorrow??? If so, do we meet at the Saratoga 76 and at what time?
I can keep up with you guys in the 25 mph zone in Saratoga proper ... but once the road heads up hill, I'll follow at shall we say ... a more 'leisurely' pace in the TR.

Tim, I'm going to pass. My grandson is spending the night and I only have the boring Z to drive. Maybe next week.
