Then last week Sacramento (looking to find money) contacted all of the DMVs and told them that there were "about 50" numbers left and it was ok to issue them again. I do think its a sign of the economy. I heard rumors of a couple of numbers left in March, so I figured I would ask, and I got lucky...sort of.

I had ordered personalized plates on 4/27 and even looked at the paperwork while at DMV, and it said the plates will take 8-12 weeks (which they have in the past). So I didn't even bother asking, got home last night and saw the notice that they came in and were ready to pick up. Personalized plates in one month! I guess no one is buying cars and orering plates right now.
