Wed. @ Mervyn's Plaza... SPF w/flames (pic)

Went over there at 5pm to check out the action.Man, I almost could not find any parking. It was PACKED! I took a lot of photos (should I post non-cobra pics here?) but saw this SPF:

Anyone here we know? (or should know?) Saw Kei's 289 CSX8000 with the 427 but didn't see him around (saw his wife though). Another Black SPF was out there as well as my FFR.

Let me know if you want to see the other pictures.

My cousin took his 32 Ford hot rod out to that show a couple of weeks ago and mentioned he saw the Cobra with the flames. It looks like the guy is also running some sort of muffler on the end of his side pipes.

Looks like a SuperTrapp.

Greg tripp 06-11-2009 02:52 PM

Scott and I went week before last. Alot of cars but it's usally all the same ones everyweek. Still worth going.

That is a Supertrapp. I have seen that SPF at a small car show in Los Altos last year. Very clean paint work!

Where is this Mervyn's located?

scootter 06-11-2009 05:29 PM

El Camino and Scott. It is at the Boston Market lot.

I met the guy before when I first got my car. I think it used to be red with white stripes. He lives somewhere around me, or did.

Those pipe ends ( if they are the same as a dirt bike) are tuneable. You can add or remove disc to let it breath easier or be more restrictive.

Scott and El Camino Santa Clara. We should all go some Wednesday night. The cobras are always the favorite. ;)

Sound great.

As long as no one steps up onto my sidepipe in order to lean over into the cockpit while holding a dripping ice cream cone and the leash of a dog tightly so as to keep the dog back from jumping into/onto my car.

From all that has been said about that mountain view show, I think It was a blessing that I blew the head gasket in the Bajis parking lot. I had the gasket fixed before you guys got the Ice cream off! :3DSMILE:

That only happens with polished Kirkhams...they're like magnets for that kind of stuff.

Wow! Nice flame work. I wonder who did his paint?

Hhmmm, Supertrapps on straight pipes... From loud to REALLY LOUD is one easy step!

I'd like to check out this show sometime.

Starting to get paint quotes...

It looks he welded the muffler to the end of the stock pipe. Just curious, would you need to make some adjustments to the tuning/jetting to compensate for the back pressure?

I'm also up for coming over to the show sometime.

Maybe everyone gets the same treatment, but people will literally poke their fingers or rub the finish to see if it's real or a ghost or something. Weird. Even my relatives did it.

Just recently, down by Baji's, there's a BMW Motorcycle dealership and one of the mechanics from the dealership walked over to where the car was parked and did it. Drives me nuts, but what can you do.

scootter 06-11-2009 09:36 PM

Not sure what you can do. With my black paint, I can always see that someone has touched the car when I get back home.

The gathering at Boston Market has been good so far. Greg and I have gone probably half a dozen times. We go walk through the cars for half hour or so, then head over to Starbucks for some java.

We should get a group together one day. I don't think we should get there much past 4:30, or we will have to park all over.

Tis the season-- that Mervyns lot is packed.

Greg tripp 06-11-2009 09:50 PM

I'm in and I agree...No later than 4:30

scootter 06-11-2009 09:55 PM

Pick a day.

I need to get through the grad party for my daughter this Saturday. I just wish it was late at night and I had real good sub wolfers. The dam house behind us had their BS party again last Saturday that went till 3:30am!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
