Thumbs up

Cobra2,

I have 88 vette suspension front and back. I love it !
It really makes a difference to me as how the car handles.
I did modify the front suspension by removing the
large leaf spring and putting in coil overs that adjust.
I am also running 245 / 50 - 16 tires too and they don't
rub the outer fender. I have the compmotive wheels.
So I guess I'm curoius as to why you would give
up on the vette suspension. What type are you going to
use instead ?

Hersh

Cobra2,
Couldn't you have brought them in by changing your backspacing of the front wheels? Seems like that would've been the easier route unless you had access to another frt. end. Are you continueing with the monoleaf or converting to coilovers?

Ratsnake, I'm using the same monoleaf spring from vettebrakes that is with the newer front end on the car now. It is common knowledge that the earlier front suspension (84 to 87) works best with the E-M kit, but I had access to the later one when I built the car. I thought it would be just a matter of changing one or more componets to go to the earlier front but found that nothing is interchangeable cept the rack and maybe the swaybar. The earlier front does use single piston calipers, I guess this could be concidered a downgrade.
