Not in San Fran and not a Chevy powered unit, but this is a VERY nice Contemporary that will hold it's resale from the "Buy it now " price. IMHO.

Contemporary for sale on Ebay

Not a whole lot of Contemporaries around to start with and I'm not sure how many (if at all) had Chevy engines in them.

That's a SWEET CCX, Jeff - there are SO many neat details on this car, the Fluidyne, the pedal box, the proper sized Moto Lita, etc.....that is a really well done car.

With so many nice used cars for sale everywhere, why the focus on a Chevy powered ride?

I know, I have issues! Always been a Chevy man, always wanted a Cobra. Saw a Contemporary with a BBC and a Nash 5 spd many, many years ago. It was the baddest thing I've seen. Nothing against Ford though. A Chevy powered Cobra might be a little less $ too.

Default Chevrolet Powered Contemporary

Actually there is a Big Block powered LS-6 Cobra that drives around Los Gatos Saratoga area from time to time. I haven't seen it lately. Some of you will recall that the LS-6 (Big Blocks) that powered those 4000 pound Chevelles back in the early 1970s. They were screamers. Imagine that power plant in a 2400 pound Cobra.

You two talking about the same car? What manufacture are they? I remember a blue one from many years ago.

There's another guy over here in NJ that has a rat powered CCX. It's in their manual on how to hook up the Chevy stuff. That must have been a little more common than we would have thunk.

Default contemporary for sale

there is a contemporary that is not put together for sale in san jose CA. it comes complete with everything, including roller, all bought new from contemporary many years ago, still in boxes. it belonged to my very good friend that died last May, he never got around to starting it. there is a true 427FE not a SO, 2-4's, dual point dist. sans clutch and bellhousing. also a top loader but you do not want a ford motor. i think you can buy the car w/o motor. if interested i do better with the phone than this computer. i'm the one selling it for his wife.
