Default Avila Beach Run March 9-11, 2007

To ALL CVCC members and those on the edge deciding!!!! I received this invitation for us all, so check this out and see what you think.

Maybe we can work this into something we can work into one of ours too. Sounds like fun, either way. For your perusal.......

Cindy,

Just wanted to extend an invitation to you and anyone in the CVCC to join us for a run to the coast. We are doing a "FASST's Extreme Avila Run 2007" or as we call it, FEAR 2007. We are going to Avila the second weekend in March, Friday the 9th, thru Sunday the 11th. From our group, we are looking at 3 Cobra's making the trip, 3 original Shelby GT's, a Tiger, and a couple Mustangs.

The very rough schedule looks like this:
Friday,, check in,, hanging out on the Beach and by the pool. dinner at the Avila wharf,
Saturday,, Short drive over to Pismo, scavenger hunt, lunch at Pismo, beach party / bonfire at Avila.
Sunday ,, sleep in,, drive north towards and take in some of the Pacific Coast Hwy. After the lunch stop, then break for home,,

We are staying at the Avila Lighthouse Suites, 550 Front Street, Avila Beach CA, 805-627-1900. We are getting a slight break on the room rates, which is $169 for partial ocean view, $199 ocean view, and $239 ocean front view. When you book, tell them you are part of the FASST car club, for the rate, and to have the rooms booked near each other. The Hotel is about a year old, and is very nice. All rooms are true 2 room suites. The summer rates for these rooms top out at $700 a night!

Part of the group is heading over Friday, while the second group is leaving Saturday morning.

any questions, give me a call
Steve

We had a great time this weekend. The weather was absolutely perfect. We ended up having 3 cobras make the drive. Joining the Cobras were 4 original Shelby's. We had a 66 GT350 Hertz, a 67 GT350, a 68 GT500 convertible, and a 69 GT350. A late model GT Mustang and an SVT Cobra plus a couple other cars rounded out the group.
