Default Snow, What Snow?

Well, here we go again. After getting 28" of snow over the weekend we have another snow event coming on Weds. As much as 12 to 18 inches. I'm starting to think that the Arizona people might have the right idea. Cabin fever I guess.

Hi James!
I hear you. A little snow here and there is one thing, but this is getting out of hand.
When it finally gets nice again. Lets go for a cruise.
We had a Main Line Sports Car Club rally that ended up by the Dupont Country Club last fall.

I'm all for a cruise. I had heard that a bunch of guys showed at The Hagley Museum. I' going to try and get in for next year. Meanwhile, I'm getting more than a bad case of cabin fever.

I'm about 45 miles southwest of you in Bel Air, MD and we're lying right under the expected heaviest bubble of snow.

Last Saturday morning I looked out my front door at 7:30 am and I actually felt intimidated by the sheer volume of white stuff (28" minimum, and plenty higher in the drifts). I reminded myself that Rome wasn't built in a day, and then went outside and attacked it with my definitely under-sized 7 horsepower Ariens snow blower. Next season I'll be packin' at least 11 horsepower!

Regarding power, I think he said "if enough is good, more is better, and too much is just right".

Come on May 1st!

David

Glad I live high in the Colorado Rockies. I was out driving around for about an hour this morning. Even took the time to wash it before coming to work. Sigh. It's a tough life, but someone has to do it.

And we may have another substantial storm brewing to dump on us next Monday.

Here we go again. If I wanted this crap I would have moved to Buffalo. Onefast, Instead of going to the grocery store to get milk and bread we buy wine. Making our home into "wine country".

We are having rain for the first time in 4 years but no snow and last week it was in the 70s. If I want to play in the snow I can drive about 30 minutes and be in all I want.

Bob,

I can understand that. When we have rain for weeks at a time I go crazy staying inside, but I prefer that to the snow. I have an e-mail with pictures of Niagara Falls frozen solid in 1911 and people walking all over it. I wish I could come up with a way to store the e-mail somewhere and than link to them.

Lol. I lived in Dover for a while. I hear you about the snow. After spending 27 years in Mass I am happy to deal with all the BS that comes with living Californina because I know that I won't have to deal with snow any more. The sad part is my kids will have a harder time surviving here unless they get a good education. I have four kids and one wants to be a doctor so it's not going to be cheap.

DV, Thanks for the encouragement. It's just blowing a little snow today. The heavy hit is supposed to come tonight. That should put us at 80 inches for this winter season. I should have said if I wanted this stuff I would have moved to Michigan.

Onefast; I know about the CA cost. My mom and stepdad live in Menlo Park and my daughter and her husband live in San Carlos. Both really cheap places to live since snow removal costs are minimal.

I keep my spirits going by knowing that March is coming soon and sometimes we have a nice March in Delaware.
