Default Classic Roadster body mounts

:What is the best way to mount the body on a calssic roadster ? Where do you start? I have the body laying on the frame, defroster duct against rear bar of hoop. I measured from the upper a-arm mount to gel coat line of front fenders. 10.5 inches. But, now the marks for the bumper bolts are off on the right side. I have to raise it and shim about 5/16 up for this to line up with the holes in the frame. The left side is fine. For side to side, I have to pry the front end to the right about 1/4 inch and shim. Is this normal ? I don't want to wind up with a twisted body.

If this is alright, do I do the floor by the doors next? I cut the hinge mount plates off the hoop as DV suggested. With the body pulled down, I will align door and weld plate in. Is this right? Any help would be appreciated.

Put the rubber on the frame where classic tells you pull the body to the cowl bar and i start in the front centering the wheels in the wheel wells take a look at bumper mtg,s at the loop to see if the holes that you will drill later are close this is where you will noif off side to side more also right side wheel will never center perfect just clamp the front then go just inside the door opening put self drilling bolt down thru take measurement at rear side to side put 2nd selftaper in door opening then start on the doorsadjust rear body up or down as needed normally doesn,t move much
